[mood | bitchy]
[music |'See You at the Show,' Nickelback]

See? I can spell the word, I just can't be fucked to edit my earlier entry.

Oh, yeah. Have a nice day for me.

Title: Restraint II: Lazarus
Author: Guede Mazaka
Rating: NC-17. Sex, violence. Gallows humor and…dunno, call it ‘greyfic.’
Pairing: Sands/El
Feedback: Would be v. appreciated.
Disclaimer: Belongs to R. Rodriguez, that lucky, demented weirdo.
Summary: And the going price for one slightly-damaged ex-CIA agent is…

LJ Copy: New Journal [Nov. 5th, 2003|08:51 pm]
So thanks to the generosity of [info]lannamichaels, I've now got a deadjournal at maman_brigitte (link at top of lj), which solves the problem of how to clean up this journal. It's only been a couple weeks, and between origfic and random fandoms and OTM (v. tired of typing OuaTiM, so now I'm going with this--plus, you can pronounce it 'O-time,' which I think is spiffy), the posts are getting unwieldy. So, since it's a deadjournal, all my origfic that no one reads is going there first. I'll still post my fanfic here and on my communities first, but then it's going over to the dj. Think of it as my little library. Warning: I'm not bothering to cut fics posted there, though I'll probably have to divide up the longer ones in parts.

Brotherhood of the Wolf and PotC ficlets, y'all. I've only found one slash fanfic for the former, and it was in French. Would be v. happy if I could find more.

My fanfic has fanfic! *sniffs* I'm so touched.

Seriously.

So yeah, [info]permetaform made me this incredible wallpaper with all four lovely guys from OuaTiM, which then inspired [info]rokeon to write a wonderfully quirky little epilogue to 'Dancing Party,' which you've gotta read. *does stuff with holy water and tequila* I give it my blessing.

Because Sands and El are bastards and wouldn't let me study until I'd written this last part. Done all today, so probably mistakes galore. Am v. sorry.

Title: Dancing Party
Author: Guede Mazaka
Rating: NC-17. Sex, violence and general snark.
Pairing: Sands/El, Lorenzo/Fideo
Feedback: Much loved.
Disclaimer: Belong to R. Rodriguez and his gang. Of which I’m not a member, dammit.
Notes: References to Desperado and El Mariachi. //words// are Spanish-speak.

This is a modern-day version of PotC, starting with a huge rewrite of the movie, and then extrapolating. Individual sections form self-contained stories, and are listed in order of (plot) chronology, which is how I'd prefer it to be read. Overall, NC-17 for sex and violence. Pairings are various combinations of Jack/Will/Elizabeth/James/Anamaria, with cameos by Sands and El of Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and James Bond and Alec Trevelyan from Goldeneye. LJ Copy: Fic Definitions [Oct. 25th, 2003|11:05 pm]
[mood | curious]
[music |'Paranoid,' Garbage]

So I recently posted an OuaTiM fic that I called darkfic. *shrugging* I kinda thought it was, since it seemed that darkfic deals with uncomfortable issues like rape, graphic serious violence (not fluffy) and just generally the really bad reactions of people to situations. That seemed to fit Restraint pretty well. Yeah, it ended happily, but the journey was definitely not what you'd call charming.

My second reason for calling it darkfic was influenced by something that happened to a friend of mine, who posted a LJ entry that really pissed some people off. I'm not going into it because it's done with and past, but basically she got anonymous flames and even death threats. Which makes it obvious that one person's humor is another's offensive slur. Same goes for fic. I didn't want anyone reading my fic without being prepared for the worst. Yeah, free speech rocks, and I don't give a shit about any insults I get when I'm just talking like this, but my writings are my babies. If I get criticism, I want it on the content and not because someone's got a personal torch to burn against this or that squick. It's fiction, not a political commentary.

I know 'Restraint' isn't anywhere near as dark as some of the masterpieces I've read on the web. But I thought it merited a serious warning.

Thoughts? Opinions? Flames?

P.S. Am hard at work on next Sands/El. Fideo and Lorenzo are popping up, too. Just so you know. Will be v. impressed with anyone who manages to work Sands' third arm into a fic. I don't remember seeing that yet.

Rating: PG-13 for language and implied slash.
Pairing: Sands/El

Summary: Sands has interesting taste in music.

LJ Copy: Crucible I: Catalyst [Oct. 22nd, 2003|01:19 pm]
[Tags|, , ]

Title: Catalyst
Author: Guede Mazaka
Rating: PG-13, maybe R-. Pretty tame for me, I guess.
Pairing: One moment of almost El/Fideo, reference to Sands/El, Sands/ El/Lorenzo, El/Lorenzo and Lorenzo/Fideo. Damn…but still no graphic sex. Sorry. Will amend later.
Feedback: V. welcomed.
Disclaimer: Robert Rodriguez’s, always and forever. Though they can pry my keyboard out of my cold, dead fingers.
Notes: Fideo can be one mean bastard when he wants to be. And he wanted fic, so here it is, in his POV. As usual, borrows from El Mariachi and Desperado, and //words// are Spanish-talk. Prequel to ‘Crucible’ and ‘Preliminary Observation.’ Bonus points to whoever picks out all the folklore I forcefed this one.
Summary: Legends can do anything. But what of the people around them?

LJ Copy: Crucible [Oct. 21st, 2003|01:21 pm]

Title: Crucible
Author: Guede Mazaka
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: El/Sands/Lorenzo
Disclaimer: Basics like characters belong to Robert Rodriguez and Co., which definitely and most unfortunately do not include me.
Feedback: V. appreciated. Especially if you've spotted any mistakes I've made.
Notes: References Desperado and maybe El Mariachi, so possible spoilers if you haven’t seen them. Can be read without having seen those two, but they’re good movies and I highly recommend you do watch them. I’m assuming Sands can speak Spanish, since he seems to understand the little boy well enough. In chemistry, a crucible is a tool used to purify substances by heating them until the impurities vaporize.
Also, //words// denotes Spanish-speak, since I don’t know the language.
Summary: El retrieves something, Lorenzo gets depth, Sands learns a nicer lesson and Fideo steals the show.

Rating: NC-17. Call it ‘violently fluffy.’
Pairing: Sands/El/Lorenzo
Disclaimer: V. v. much not mine, however often I wish. Robert Rodriguez and Co. are extremely lucky people.
Feedback: Juices me right up.
Notes: Written as a gift to [info]rokeon, in thanks for the awesome icons. So, this is much shorter, obviously. Same universe as “Crucible.” Cane idea stolen from Daredevil, which was pretty good, actually. Reference to Desperado. //words// denote Spanish-speak.

Which is what happened sometime between now and yesterday dinner. I wrote for four straight hours, and I only stopped because the keys were too damn blurry. They should know better than to move like that. Anyway, just 'cause I feel like it, am posting second fanfic and next part of epic-thingy (must get name and an lj-icon. i feel so white-trash without one).

Title: Da Capo
Author: Guede Mazaka
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Sands/El
Disclaimer: So not mine. Still pretty to look at. I like explosions.
Notes: Da Capo is a musical abbreviation; Italian literally would be ‘from head.’ Anyway, when it appears, you go back to the beginning of the piece and start again.
